Territory Gift Sales Manager

Manage the activities of the gift/independent retailer sales division which would include both company direct sales force with regional managers, as well as outside agencies in certain regions. Supervise the hiring, training and goal management of the company sales force to insure growth in the territories. Manage the relationship between MWW and the outside agencies and evaluate changes if needed and monitor goal achievement and sales growth there as well.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Grow sales with both independent agencies and company sales force.
  • Evaluate and make sure we have the right people in the right seats, make changes if necessary.
  • Willingness to travel to various trade shows, meetings with regional managers and travel to the home office on a regular basis.
  • Product knowledge for the industry from the perspective of working with product development on developing future lines. Ability to provide concise and clear communication from the customers and sales team on products.
  • Provide input from a sales perspective on showroom layouts.
  • Work with in house marketing department on catalogs, promotional flyers, e-mail blasts, advertising
  • Cultivate sales with mid-tier key accounts, chain stores under 50 locations.
  • Must possess the ability to communicate clearly and timely.
  • Prepare annual budgets for all areas of responsibility.
  • Understand how to designate and develop sales territories for individuals.
  • Strong knowledge of new account acquisition.

Required Qualifications:

  • Good communicator
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Proficient in e-mail and basic computer skills
  • Experience in sales management of at least 5 years

Compliance Specialist

Ensure that a company’s operations and products adhere to the laws regulating the particular industry and products being manufactured. Products manufactured include home décor, pillows, throws, bedding and gifts. Looking to expand into children’s products as well. Candidate would be responsible for making sure all manufacturing processes and components were compliant with all applicable testing and laws, like Prop 65, testing of inks, etc., as well as packaging and law tag information.

Job Functions:
• Establish a structured compliance plan for the company.
• Monitor compliance with laws, regulations and policies as it pertains to the products being manufactured.
• Educate the applicable departments within the company on the policies and procedures necessary to maintain compliance.
• Audit on a regular basis all applicable departments for any deficiencies in compliance protocol.
• Understand all laws and regulations as it pertains to the products being manufactured, stay abreast of any changes in the laws or regulations that might impact the company and the products they produce and educate all applicable departments on changes.
• Organize and manage all testing that is done for the company, both company required testing and customer required testing.
• Work with all departments on compliance and testing of new products.
• Have the required certifications for compliance for our industry.
• Ability to comprehend/analyze/research complex regulations.

Accounting Technician

The Accounting Technician is responsible for applying effective analysis principles and procedures to prepare accurate and timely financial reports and analyze financial information. The Accounting Technician reports to the Controller. Position is located in Western North Carolina Area.

Job Functions:
• Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; analyses, and recommendations.
• Assemble spreadsheets, charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports. • Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations.
• Determine financial status by comparing and analyzing plans and forecasts with actual results.
• Improve financial status by analyzing results and variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions.
• Prepare and analyze variance reports including material and labor variance from standard.
• Communicate financial information as appropriate.
• Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities.
• Develop and maintain financial databases.
• Assist Controller with other duties, including filing, record retention, etc.

Education and Experience:
• Associate’s Degree in Accounting and at least 1 years experience.
• Manufacturing accounting experience.

Database Administrator

This MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL DBA role will largely be responsible for providing operational database services to the organization. We are looking to have a highly competent and highly motivated individual. An applicant should have a service oriented mentality, high sense of ownership of the problems and requests assigned, focus on managing and resolving issues.

Job Functions:
• Own, track and resolve database related incidents and requests
• Review service related reports (i.e. database backups, maintenance, monitoring, etc) on a daily basis to ensure service related issues are identified and resolved
• Respond to database related alerts and escalations
• Developing strategic solutions for recurring problems.
• Develop a plan for future growth
• Provide assistance to Development Team with database interactions.
• Confidently point out poor queries, procedures, etc and help create better methodologies.
• Establish and maintain good communication with requesters.

Education and Experience:
• No formal education required.
• Prefer 3+ years’ experience, but are willing to consider less.
• Certification is a plus

IT Programmer

MWW is a state of the art manufacturing and fulfillment facility, nationally known as a leader in the Gift and Home Decor Industry since 1932. We are a forward thinking fully EDI & API capable company continually striving to build true partnerships with our customers. With approximately one million square feet of manufacturing and distribution space we have a vertically integrated production process that includes weaving, dyeing, cut and sew, digital printing, heat transfer, pillow & pouf blowing, plus distribution and drop shipping.

We are looking for a resourceful, results-driven Programmer. This position will be responsible for designing and developing innovative and technical solutions through applications and software and is part of the Programming Development Team. The successful candidate will also be adept at gathering and analyzing the needs of internal and external customers and effectively communicating the knowledge gained to other programmers for coding and testing of applications.

Job Functions:
• Identify requirements by establishing personal rapport with internal and external customers to understand service requirements.
• Arrange project requirements in programming sequence; prepare a work flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic.
• Responsible for developing new and maintaining existing applications.
• Confirms program operation by conducting tests; reporting results and modifying the program sequence and/or codes.
• Assist in writing/maintaining user documentation.
• Analyzes methods to efficiently address software system requirements.
• Creates code that meets system standards.

Education and Experience:
• Prefer 2+ years programming experience.
• Certification is a plus.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field a plus.
• Proven experience in creating detailed flowchart

Key Competencies:
• Excellent customer service skills, able to connect with all levels of business
• Efficient in programming Ruby on Rails, .Net and C# environment. Understanding of VB is a plus .
